When you think about the word boudoir, the first thing that probably comes to your mind is some curvaceous woman looking sultry at the camera. Your’e not mistaken however, there is so much more underneath that sultry stare.
Boudoir has to be my all-time favorite type of photo session! The passion and confidence that comes out to play when taking these images is unlike anything else you can experience. Sexuality is something that is typically for your significant other or for the bedroom, but harnessing onto that sexuality for an hour or two of photos gives you a whole knew perspective to see yourself as someone who IS sexy!
People may look through boudoir images and think to themselves “that petite girl probably didn’t have any problems stripping down in from of that camera.” Well those people would be completely wrong! I don’t know of a single person who before their session didn’t think to themselves that they arn’t pretty enough for these kinds of photo’s. Take it from me, I was downright terrified before I had my own photographs taken. But what I learned from my own session is, I AM sexy and after all the fear melts away, boudoir is really fun! Boudoir photography gives the power to see ourselves through the eyes of someone who can see how undeniable beautiful and sexy we really are.
