5. Sunset adventure elopement (Incredible coastal cliffside views)

6. At home date themed casual couples shoot (Wine, takeout, card games, & dancing in the kitchen)

7. Elaborate beach/cape elopement/bridals (stunning monochromatic florals with a gorgeous table set up)

         8. Traditional engagement couple (a casual and formal look with a stunning beach/overlook location)

 

 

 

EDUCATION & JOURNALING & MEDITATION SESSIONS:

1. Monday Evening: Deep thought journaling and setting your intentions for your retreat experience, followed by a journal meditation session to reset your mind & invite success in your life.

2. Mid day Tuesday: Prompting over posing & client experience education by Branden Leion. Followed by open Q&A

3. Tuesday evening: How to get in camera motion blur photographs before our sunset shoots starts

• Wednesday afternoon :Scheduled 20 min individual business/goal coaching with 6 attendees (We will cover topics of YOUR choice and setting goals to elevate your business)

4. Thursday late morning: Marketing strategy to book your ideal clients open discussion Q&A

5. I am an open book! Feel free to ask me any questions throughout the retreat. I will be leading the first portions of the shoots with emphasis on storytelling prompts & with lots of playful movement

 

COST & WHAT IS INCLUDED: 

 

Cost: $2750 (payment plans available)

What’s included:  Four nights & five days lodging, breakfast, snacks, light lunches, dinner two nights, (We will be having dinner as a group after our sunset sessions on Cannon Beach at Pizza A’Fetta. As well as dinner out as a group after we finish our last shoot on Thursday at one of my favorite breweries called Pelican Brewery right on the beach!) drinks, swag bags & a digital PDF including the details about the retreat & some info about the area we’re going to. It will include the model & vendor info, our itinerary, packing list and a list of some things to do in the area after or before the retreat.

What is not included: Flights & transportation to the airbnb & shoots, and any dinners in town.

( A group chat will be created on Instagram to chat with other attendees about carpooling & renting cars from the Portland airport)

 

OUR SPACE:

Perched at the edge of beach and forest, Forest Edge Beach House is a brand new Oceanfront modern luxury custom home completed in summer ’22 on 1.42 acres bordering Oregon’s newest State Park, Sitka Sedge. Enjoy beautiful sunsets, direct beach access just off the deck, long walks on the beach, evening bonfires, & access to miles of trails through forest wetlands, dunes, & Sand Lake Estuary. A perfect place to reset and recharge, get creative, learn and spend time with other fellow creatives! 
With 13 beds, 7 full bathrooms and a huge living space this place is beyond spacious and located right on the beach!!!! 8 bunk beds and 5 king beds! Boys and girls will of course be separated and king beds will be two peeps to a room/bed. If ya want a single bunk make sure ya let me know when ya book. Everything will be a first come first serve low key situation. All of our education, games and journaling will be in the giant living space and one of our couples photoshoots will be here at this epic Airbnb too!

 

EXPECTATIONS:

Content retreats are an incredible way to vamp up your portfolio & website and are your stepping stones to start booking your dream destination shoots. If you are wanting to expand into the destination & elopement market, this retreat is for you! You’ll meet and network with other photographers & vendors from all over the world and build relationships with people in our industry. This is great for referrals, for learning from other photographers, and to make some life long photog friends!

These locations will provide you the expertise to pass on to future clients. In my experience clients are less likely to book with you if you have no information and experience in the location they are inquiring. If you’ve never shot on the Oregon coast (and want to get more bookings here!), this retreat is your chance to build your knowledge & portfolio. It’s not just the content that has marketability but the knowledge of the location itself!

Storytelling in the industry is booming and we will be focusing on capturing real intimate moments that tell a story. My style is very movement and intimately based with some steam and spice sprinkled in. Mood boards will be posted on social media as well as the booked couples for our shoots.

The Oregon coast is stunning with beautiful open beaches and has such diverse opportunities for landscapes. But with 12 people total photographing one couple it can start to feel crowded. We will be splitting up into groups, based off your posing style into groups of three shooters and be rotating out of the center spot to assure that EVERYONE gets that perfect middle shot. Groups will each take turns posing the couples to their liking. Feel free to shoot from the sides while other groups take their turn. There is no tolerance for drama. If you have a shot in mind take the time during your allotted time to get that shot or come to me and ask me to set the couple in that pose for the whole group to shoot. Shoots move fast and we only have so much time with good light so there is opportunity for tensions to get high, but don’t worry you are sure to leave with A LOT of amazing content.

FAQS:

Cancellation / rescheduling: Your $500 deposit and any payments are 100% non refundable. If you choose to cancel and give up your ticket for any reason, you are responsible for finding someone to take your spot or pay the remaining balance. You may also transfer your deposit or any amount paid to another future retreat or content day.

Coming to the educational presentation, journaling meditation session and the one on one business coaching are not mandatory. If you wish not to learn or join in you are free to do whatevaaa you want. Hike, walk on the beach, explore, sleep, chill etc. Just be aware of our shoot times as we will not wait around for you. We have some early morning start times so be respectful of other attendees if they sleep/nap if you are hanging out and chatting late at night.

Deposit / payment plans:  Your deposit is a non refundable to hold your spot. The remaining balances are due based on your payment plan which will be due on the 20th of each month leading up to the workshop in November.

How many attendees: There will be a total of 12 tickets available to the retreat and there will be 15 people shooting(including me, Branden and our hair and makeup artist Jennavive). We will have five groups of three photographers and will be taking turns rotating out for center shots and to direct the models for posing that fits your style. People will be placed in groups based on their posing style.

Meals: Breakfast, snacks, lunches, drinks and two dinners will be provided during the retreat. You are responsible for your dinners our two nights out. If you have any food allergies please reach out and let me know.

Lodging: Your ticket includes lodging at our beach front airbnb in Cloverdale Oregon for four nights and five days. We will meet at 6pm on Monday evening and have to be checked out by 10am Friday morning after our goodbye breakfast at 9am.

Travel: We will be carpooling as much as possible to the shoot locations. Flights and rental cars are not included. You will want to fly into Portland and rent a car. Our airbnb in Cloverdale is just over a two and a half hour drive from the Portland airport. If you are feeling up for more of a road trip. Fly into Seattle and start on a 5.5 hour drive and check out Astoria Oregon (where The Goonies was filmed) along the coast.
