Patriotic Colorado Mountain Engagement Photo Session

This engagement session was so amazingly fun! Jake and Leah are both teachers in Montrose Colorado and are two of the most fun and energetic people I have ever gotten to photograph. I have known Leah for years and she is still as fun, bubbly, positive and adorable as I remember! Jake totally hit the jackpot with her! I was so excited that we got to incorporate the American flag, its not very often that I get to play with a prop when I take engagement photos. However, the my FAVORITE part about their session was the fact that Jake and Leah dance together! At one point I asked Jake to lift Leah over his head and he asked how high! (If you know me, you know just how much I love capturing motion!) They move so perfectly with each other, It was beyond amazing to document them in the gorgeous Colorado Mountains. Their smiles and expressions are so raw and beautiful to me, there is no doubt of their love for each other. It’s these type of smiles and these moments that light up the darkest times, they give me hope in humanity. And show that love has a type of power that we sometimes don’t get to understand but that we do get to experience and that in itself is a blessing.
